I have always loved this poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay. This print features the first stanza. It's so full of the joy of being outside and the love of flowers--but without needing to pick them and take them inside. Instead, the poet leaves them in the field for others to enjoy just as she has.
This print was made with hand-set metal type and a very old printing cut of a bunch of pansies. It was printed on a a printing press made in 1892 who goes by the name of Pearl. Pearl is run by foot power and lots of love, because at her age she's a little persnicketty!
This print is the perfect gift for anyone who loves poetry, flowers, being outside, or Edna St. Vincent Millay. It's a great reminder to take joy in the world around us.
