This 11x14" letterpress broadside features the first place winner of the 2025 Fare Forward Poetry Competition, Isabel Cristina Legarda's "Dire Wolf."
This print was made with handset wood and metal type, in 24 pt. Italian Old Style and 12 and 14 pt. Century Old Style. The image was hand-carved in linoleum. Each numbered copy was individually printed in 3 passes on a 1911 Chandler & Price printing press.
All proceeds from the sale of this broadside will go to the benefit of Fare Forward: A Christian Review of Ideas, a 501(c)3 registered organization.

Isabel Cristina Legarda was born in the Philippines and moved to the U.S. at age nine. She is the author of the chapbooks Beyond the Galleons (Yellow Arrow Press, 2024) and Further Authentic Stories of Half-Ladies (Finishing Line Press, forthcoming). She holds degrees in literature, medicine, and bioethics and is currently a practicing physician in Boston. She writes fiction, poetry, and essays. Her work has appeared in America Magazine, Whale Road Review, Cleaver, Smartish Pace, the New York Quarterly, and many other publications.
